Misspelling?[edit]

@DCDuring: Do you think we should redefine this epithet as a {{misspelling of|guilliermondii}}? — I.S.M.E.T.A. 19:11, 21 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

@DCDuring: Was that a yes? — I.S.M.E.T.A. 20:24, 21 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
It is a misspelling and seems to be fairly common, as are others: guillermondi, guilliermondi. These types of misspellings are very common. Sometimes both "ii" and "i" endings on the same stem exist. If I don't have my glasses on, my eyes regularly miscount the vertical lines and confuse "ill", "ii", "iii", "lli", and other such endings. I don't think that hard redirects do these justice. To not have some redirect forces users away from our site and toward Google, which does a great job of detecting likely misspellings. DCDuring TALK 20:31, 21 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
@DCDuring: I'm not advocating a hard redirect. Is this not OK? We could do the same for guillermondi and guilliermondi, if you like. — I.S.M.E.T.A. 21:08, 21 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
I was just considering the alternative. This is the way it should be, also for the others. DCDuring TALK 21:10, 21 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
