Middle English habil, from Old French habile, from Latin habilis, from habre, to handle
- Which is the same as what we've got, apart from they use an image in place of the Unicode character ē, so when you copy-paste habēre from their site, it comes out as habre. Weird. Mglovesfun (talk) 22:54, 18 December 2012 (UTC)
