The word is mispronounced in the audio file... (1) The speaker stresses three vowels in a row "-popoto-" (which never occurs in proper English pronunciation). It should really sound exactly like how it does in "hippopotamus," which is why it's strange that the reader mispronounces the work like this. And (2)the quipedalian part is mixed up. You hear something like "quidepedalian"...
