SOP?

[edit]

@TagaSanPedroAko This seems like SOP. "Humingi ng paumanhin" is just "ask for forgiveness", same with "humingi ng tawad". --Mar vin kaiser (talk) 13:13, 24 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

  1. @TagaSanPedroAKo: Are you ok that we file this entry for deletion? --Mar vin kaiser (talk) 09:40, 25 November 2021 (UTC)Reply
Not so. I would say this word would be the closest translation to English “apologize”, but if you think this is SOP and should be done away with, are there any other simpler words to mean the same? This is much like the many “bigyan[-g/ ng] ____” (e.g. bigyang pansin, bigyan ng kahalagahan) verb phrases, which KWF also proscribes where there are simpler forms that can be used in place of that construction. @TagaSanPedroAko: Well, it's not that we have to have an entry existing that needs to be the exact translation of an English word like "apologize". To be honest, technically this is SOP, but we can agree among Tagalog editors to leave this here if it will be useful for Wiktionary users. Yeah, maybe just leave it here to get it over with lol. --Mar vin kaiser (talk) 13:55, 30 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
