As far as I can tell from experience and a quick check of dictionaries, the definition as in "opposite of pertinent" seems to be a bit obscure today. Listing it first therefore seems unnecessary. I don't mind being reverted, but I think some references might be in order.

I was more thinking about more about how other dictionaries order the definitions rather than quotations.

That is often arbitrary, we had some discussions before, some seem to be by order of first use, by order of current popularity, or just by order of what came into the author's head first. Conrad.Irwin 21:31, 15 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
