The definition is however the same as for çelek / چلك. Can a pail really be called cow-swill, կով-լակ (kov-lak)? A bahuvrīhi? @Vahagn Petrosyan. Fay Freak (talk) 00:30, 26 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Fay Freak: կովլակ (kovlak) also means "mash, swill for domestic animals", from which the sense "pail containing the swill" develops trivially. The borrowing is certainly from Armenian in view of the forms gövlek, küvlek. --Vahag (talk) 07:43, 26 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
