An underwater vortex - any takers? SemperBlotto 07:00, 4 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

A google search suggests that it is a vortex caused by convection, but I don't know enough to say for certain. --EncycloPetey 10:21, 4 May 2006 (UTC)Reply
A seemingly legit science learning org has a definition for it.[1]--Halliburton Shill 00:08, 6 May 2006 (UTC)Reply
I can't confirm or deny the above definition, but in Afrikaans, "kolk" means vortex (as in, for example, "maalkolk" (tornado), but it's not limited to a particular context). --Piet Delport 22:29, 17 May 2006 (UTC)Reply
