Etymology[edit]

@Mar vin kaiser, TagaSanPedroAko. What's your take on the etymology of kropek? Frankly, I believe that this has emerged as a (not so accurate) spelling pronunciation of Dutch (and also early Indonesian) kroepoek. I have anecdotical "evidence" for it from people born in the 30s, and I wonder if there is literature about it. Obviously kropek is not cognate to krupuk as currently implied by the template {{cog}}. –Austronesier (talk) 20:52, 24 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
