KSK doesn't say whether this is a noun or adjective, and it is the former (which can be seen in SSA, etc.) - User:Surjection

KSK does say it's indeclinable (that is, not a noun nor adjective). The first 4 definitions point to the interjection "yes", and the fifth to an archaic meaning. If it is indeed a noun, to which KOTUS numbering it belongs to? Jmmbarberi (talk) 21:52, 15 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

That is correct; KTSK (or KSK as I sometimes write it) only lists the adverbial meanings. Definition 1 corresponds to the interjection. definition 2 corresponds to the intensifier. Definition 3 is also an intensifier, so it should also probably count; the same for definition 4. Definition 5 applies to the archaic meaning. Neither KTSK nor NSK (Nykysuomen sanakirja) list the noun (only adverbials), but it appears in both SMS (Suomen murteiden sanakirja) as well as a number of etymological works that state that the word was originally a noun. Its noun declension class would be 10 (koira), but I'm not sure the inflected forms are that well attested (other than the ones that are still found in Finnish today). — surjection??22:00, 15 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
