There has been an understandable tendency the change "wort" to "word" in the etymology. It really does look like a typo. Two separate versions of the 1913 Webster on-line use "wort" instead of "word". The use of "wort" in connection with medicinal plants suggests that it could be correct, but I am not sure. I've restored it and added (sic!) after it. Eclecticology 19:04, 7 Dec 2003 (UTC)
