Part of Speech?[edit]

My Hawaiian dictionary didn't very well explain the part of speech of maikaʻi; from personal experience I would say that its part of speech is more fluid than simply noun. (My instinct is to call it a stative verb as well, but am hard pressed to find a confirming reference.) While I realize that I am as of this instant the only user with Hawaiian on my Babel, it would be nice were someone able to give some sort of confirmation. Medellia 21:52, 5 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
