Tea room discussion[edit]

Why is this word in the English Wiktionary? Is it a foreign word that is occasionaly used within a particular technical discipline in English-language literature? If so, I would think it needs to have at least one English usage example provided. N2e 22:26, 30 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The goal of the Wiktionary is to include all words in all languages as defined in the host language. This means that in the English Wiktionary we define English words in English, Dutch words in English, French words in English, etc. Even though this is a Dutch word we still define it here in English, so that a native speaker of English might be able to understand it if they encounter it in Dutch text. - [The]DaveRoss 22:45, 30 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
