What about in the sense that someone can be a needy person; as in, they require a high degree of "maintenence" or attention and affection?

Noun use of an adjective. Compare:

- Delete, but not every adjective can be used in such fused-head constructions, especially in such a range of noun roles. Should we note this kind of thing? How? Should it be a part of Wiktionary:English adjectives? DCDuring TALK 06:33, 6 March 2011 (UTC)
- The latter is one place I looked, though perhaps Wiktionary:English nouns would be more consistent (if consistency is what is needed here—I suppose what really matters is that people know/can learn/can work out where to find it). I eventually found some rules posted as part of a discussion in Talk:adjective; I don't know where these came from, but they might provide a starting point for a write-up. — Pingkudimmi 07:18, 6 March 2011 (UTC)
