Verb sense of "to seal the breach of a gun"?[edit]

I have seen obdurate used as a verb meaning "to seal the breach of a gun." I cannot give a citation, but perhaps someone else has seen this usage. -- 71.177.202.153

The OED shows an obsolete verb sense meaning "to harden." So what you saw might have been a variation on that sense. -- WikiPedant 16:15, 19 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
