Masculine inanimate or feminine?

[edit]

@Chihunglu83: Are you sure that Old Czech obudoň is m inan? Note that the relevant Czech -oň suffix (the one forming names of trees) forms feminine nouns. 0DF (talk) 10:35, 27 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

@0DF Hi, obudoň is a problematic lemma. The meaning, the gender, the etymology[1] is somewhat uncertain. I would personally assume it's a f. as in modern Czech Staročeský slovník, however, cite it as a masculine noun with a question mark. The word itself was taken from a glossary, so I guess without more context we aren't really positive. Chihunglu83 (talk) 10:48, 27 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Chihunglu83: I guess it depends on the meaning, because -oň has masculine senses, too. What is the original context of the word? I.e., what does it gloss? 0DF (talk) 10:59, 27 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
