Not really, except it's obviously cognate to Icelandic pylsa, Faroese pylsa, and apparently it existed in the same form in Old Danish (“pølse” in Ordbog over det danske Sprog).__Gamren (talk) 16:45, 6 February 2017 (UTC)Reply
Could it be related to the Dutch 'peulen' (bean pods)? Which is supposed to be related to English peeling and pulling.
