Merged definitions 1 & 2 because they were mathematically and logically equivalent (although keeping both might have been helpful for looking at the same phenomenon from different angles -- no pun intended [at least not at first :) ]): "apparent shift" is the same as "change of angular position"; "point" is a special case of "object"; "an object against a background" then can be seen for what it is in this context, a special case of "two stationary points"; "a change in observer position" is the same as "the motion of an observer".
