@Lingo Bingo Dingo. Ref your ping: I believe this is a word common between the NLs and BE. I wouldn't know any other word to express it. I just suspect it's more used in the Netherlands due to its rich maritime history which leads to more maritime books and articles. NB: I am finding 3000+ hits for the word on .be-websites (versus 9000+ for .nl-websites) which IMHO gives some support to the view that it's a common word.
