pay attention to? pay attention on?
depends on object? or definitely "to"? — This comment was unsigned.
- When a teacher blares out "Pay Attention!" the "to me" or "to the lesson" is implied. At least, that is the use I think someone was trying to convey, by marking it with the nonstandard heading "Intransitive verb." But then, that should be under the heading "Interjection." The combination of these two words, when used as a verb, is plainly sum-of-parts; not idiomatic. I'll rearrange it now. --Connel MacKenzie 17:43, 7 October 2007 (UTC)
