Reinaldo Azevedo, the journalist that coined the term, recently explained on his radio show (youtu.be / XVkx-tnXySE?t=3131) that the term Petralha is not used to define all supporters and affiliates to the worker's party, but only those who try to justify the theft of public funds This definition is also active in the Portuguese Wikitionary entry for the term.
