the "pocket diaper steamer"[edit]

It is claimed the pocket diaper was invented in the early 1990s by a five-year-old girl weary of the chore of changing her younger brother. I admit Im skeptical that it was really her idea and not the mother's, though that's not really up to us to figure out. One other site claims the kid's wish was that diapers would have *pockets* to hold baby wipes and talcum powder, and if so the modern concept of a pocket diaper is an evolved idea.

Either way, it seems this is a surprisingly recent invention, and that the pocket diaper steamer i read about in a comic strip in the 1980s was not a reference to a real product, or even a fictional product based on a real product. I'd always read it as [pocket] [diaper steamer], that is, a diaper steamer one carries in their pocket (you never know when you'll need to steam a diaper!), and then when I saw this I thought I may have been mistaken, but it seems I was correct after all.
