[edit]

@Imbricitor: regarding your edit, are the following other entries also wrong? Latin -ceps < Proto-Italic *-kaputis < Proto-Indo-European *káput < *kap- (head). I am trying to understand your edit summary "kap is not the root for head". Thanks. — Sgconlaw (talk) 18:53, 29 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

No, they are not, I was mistaken here. However it was indeed misleading seeing kap- and Latin -ito together, as if the latter had been suffixed to the former. If there is any "head"-lemma to mention here, it's caput. You can put kap- back into the root brackets; I'm sorry. Imbricitor (talk) 23:32, 29 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
