Skew means "neither intersecting nor parallel" as opposed to "neither perpendicular nor parallel", doesn't it? Qorilla 20:30, 18 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Why should the term come from an frankish word with a meaning of "to dread;avoid"? Although not being a linguist, it would seem more probable to me, if it would be related to german "schief", which comes from old saxon *skêf according to [1]? Utonsal (talk) 20:38, 31 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
