Wherefpre is it actually considered obsolete??? A. E. Housman lived in the XXth century and has used it. I would appreciate the opinion/explication of some native speaker and how he finds the spelling without first "A". Bogorm 08:43, 15 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Well, Housman did use them, but most of his poems were written in the 19th century. stedfast is no longer an acceptable spelling in modern English, and hasn't been for a hundred years. Ƿidsiþ 08:51, 15 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
