Example sentence[edit]

example sentence: President Coolidge was legendary for being taciturn: Someone told him 'I bet I can get you to say three words' and he replied 'you lose'. RJFJR 04:36, 16 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I believe that's actually a true story (though it's hard to be sure, as so many urban legends surround the presidents). —RuakhTALK 05:34, 16 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Noun[edit]

Helmuth von Moltke the Elder is known (in English) as "The Great Taciturn". Does that mean the word can be a noun? The German nickname is "Der große Schweiger", which definitely is a noun. --LA2 (talk) 00:32, 17 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
