From RFC[edit]

Change POS to "Cardinal number" or "Ordinal number" for each language. The translation is "three" in each case, which is a cardinal number, but that in itself doesn't necessarily mean "tatlo" is a cardinal number in these languages. — Paul G 16:32, 14 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Cleaned up. We don;t have a strict policy on the matter because the previous round of discussion and voting reached no consensus. Please keep in mind that both Numeral and Number are curently used on Wiktionary for the same part of speech and that both are legitimate for this use as demonstrated by citations. --EncycloPetey 14:08, 15 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
OK. I objected to "numeral" because I thought it meant only "a symbol representing a number, such as 3 or X", but it also means "a word denoting a number", so "Numeral" is fine as a part of speech. — Paul G
