Etymology and external links[edit]

I thought we were not supposed to include external links anywhere outside of ===External links=== towards the end of the entry. There certainly is value in including as much of the contentious etymology (however many varients) right up front. --Connel MacKenzie 06:50, 21 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

The above seems a fair point, if somebody wants to execute the change (belatedly). IMHO, having worked with concrete trucks, that explanation seems a pretty good one. Of course, the man who told it to me had much more experience with concrete than with cloth...and he was full of dodgy etymology stories as well. 82.12.198.203 02:01, 7 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

New and perhaps conclusive evidence[edit]
