In the spelling vial, is it pronounced like phile or with the usual v sound? More like vile or more like file? (The pronunciation section gives a dash here instead of the one letter, apparently to save space.) --31.53.35.104 18:13, 1 January 2014 (UTC)

I edited file, I always pronounce it /ˈfaɪəl/, I literally can't say /ˈfaɪl/ but the audio in the entry is correct. I wonder if /ˈfaɪəl/ is UK and /ˈfaɪl/ is US. Perhaps that's a bit simple. Mglovesfun (talk) 18:35, 1 January 2014 (UTC)
