Alternate meaning(s)[edit]

Definition #1 is very narrow, like it was taken out of a Webster's or something.  The term applies to the voicing (tuning) of any and all instruments, including the human voice.

Definition #2 is also very narrow, as the term encompasses non-chordal as well as chordal music.

I believe there should also be a link to the related definition accordatura that's in this Wiktionary. K. Kellogg-Smith 14:40, 11 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

I took a shot at #1. Feel free to modify or completely rewrite. I have no idea how to rewrite #2 to include non-chordal sound. It'll be on my watchlist, so a formatting blunder, should you make one, won't last too long, probably. The biggest no-no: verbatim copying from an in-copyright source, especially a dictionary.
