Etymology Needed[edit]

The page currently just says "from Maori", which falls well short of useful. From my own studies, I recall that the prefix whaka is a causative, but then the entryfor papa#Maori gives the meaning of papa as "rump", which might still make sense in a colorful way, but I'm not sure I'm parsing this correctly. Anyway, it'd be appreciated if someone more informed would add to the Etymology section here. -- Cheers, Erik Anderson -- 205.166.76.15 23:58, 16 September 2010 (UTC)Reply
