    1. A conurbation in North East England encompassing the towns of Middlesbrough, Stockton-on-Tees, Redcar and surrounding settlements.
    2. A county borough of North Riding of Yorkshire which had a brief existence between 1968 and 1974, being absorbed into the County of Cleveland.
