Parameters[edit]

This template has three positional parameters, all of which must be specified. If any of the parameters are left unspecified, the template generates error messages. The parameters are:

|1= ⁓ headword
  • In most cases, the headword is identical with the term underlined in red and situated at the top–left-hand corner of a given entry in the NLW. The headword can be copied for pasting from the pertinent fields which are represented by headword and headword below.
|2= ⁓ link number
  • Beneath every NLW entry there occurs this text (this formatting denotes fields whose content varies according to the entry or current date):
Dieser Eintrag kann wie folgt zitiert werden: / This entry can be quoted as follows:
    J. Ramminger, headword, in ders., Neulateinische Wortliste. Ein Wörterbuch des Lateinischen von Petrarca bis 1700, URL: www.neulatein.de/words/link number.htm (benutzt am / used on access date)
Copy + paste the text beneath the entry which corresponds to link number above. The link number will take the form of a single digit, followed by a slash, ending in six digits; e.g.: 1/018113, 2/016606, 3/007687, etc.
|3= ⁓ revision date
  • Beneath that citation text exemplified above, there occur several lines of small, grey text. That text takes this form:
Johann Ramminger, Neulateinische Wortliste. Ein Wörterbuch des
Lateinischen von Petrarca bis 1700 (NLW)
    Startseite: www.neulatein.de/neulateinische_wortliste.htm
    Lemma: headword (J. Ramminger)
    Nr.: entry number
bearbeitet: revision date 1 revision date 2 revision date 3 revision date n
Copy + paste the most recent revision date (i.e., the rightmost one in the last line). For example, the NLW entry for “ambasciator” lists (at the time of writing, viz. 18th February 2015) these revision dates:
19.04.06 20.04.06 13.05.06 12.07.09 05.11.09 10.05.10 29.07.10
To cite the NLW entry for ambasciator when confronted with this text, one should copy + paste “29.07.10”.
