Usage[edit]

This template can be used in Wiktionary entries to format quotations from the Pyramid Texts, covering all tombs with such texts from the 5th and 6th Dynasties. The codes for locations of the texts in each pyramid follow those used by {{R:egy:Allen 2013}}.

Parameters[edit]

The template takes the following parameters:

Mandatory: the code for the owner of the pyramid. Possible values include:
  • W for Unas
  • T for Teti
  • P for Pepi I
  • An for Ankhesenpepi II
  • M for Merenre
  • N for Pepi II
  • Nt for Neith
  • Jp for Iput
  • Wd for Wedjebetni
  • Ab for Qakare Ibi
|2= or |room=
The code for the room in the pyramid.
|3= or |wall=
The code for the wall of the room.
|wall2=
The code for another wall, if the text extends further than one wall.
|4= or |section=
The code for the section of the wall (A–F), if any.
|5= or |register=
The code for the register of the wall or section (i–v), if any.
|6= or |line=
The code for the line(s) of the wall, section, or register.
|pt=
The spell (Sprüche) number, according to the numbering scheme used by Kurt Sethe and expanded/amended by James P. Allen. Labelled as ‘PT’ in Allen’s concordance.
|pyr=
The paragraph number, according to the numbering scheme used by Kurt Sethe. Labelled as ‘Pyr.’ in Allen’s concordance.
|v=
The volume in Roman numerals (I–VI) of Allen’s concordance that contains the spell in question (optional).

Further references to sources, if needed.
