Template talk:R:es:DRAE
ISBN
[edit]I disagree with adding the ISBN. It presents visual noise while adding very little value. There was a discussion on this which I think showed no consensus, but I can be wrong. --Dan Polansky (talk) 13:57, 1 January 2017 (UTC)
Template name
[edit]In November 2016, Vivaelcelta moved the remplate from {{R:DRAE 2001}}
to {{R:DRAE}}
. I think it's only reasonable since the edition that we link to online keeps changing. It is essential that we use this template as a further reading and not as a reference, though.
The 2001 template said "Vigésima segunda edición" - 22nd edition.
The template now says 2014, and "Vigésima tercera edición" - 23rd edition.
The current online edition[1] says "Edición del Tricentenario" in a white font in a black horizontal strip, and there is a link at the right with the text "Edición del Tricentenario" that links to [2], where it says "La 23.ª edición de Diccionario de la lengua española se publicó en octubre de 2014."

Sense/id linking
[edit](note to future self) All items on the DRAE page have ids (in the form of "57urmg8"), so it would be possible to directly link to a sense by providing the id in the template (|id=
). However, I'm not able to generate URLs with fragments automatically. – Jberkel 20:19, 12 April 2022 (UTC)
- @Jberkel: I added support for using the id= parameter to jump to the page anchor. This requires specifying the entry name ("pez", in this case) if it's different than the page title:
- “pez”, in Diccionario de la lengua española, Vigésima tercera edición, Real Academia Española, 2014
- In the case above, since "pez de colores" is really an article and not a sense, so you can just use the full phrase as the entry and it will go to the same page, but with better link text:
- “pez de colores”, in Diccionario de la lengua española, Vigésima tercera edición, Real Academia Española, 2014
- Links to a specific sense can provide the sense id as the id:
- “pez”, in Diccionario de la lengua española, Vigésima tercera edición, Real Academia Española, 2014

- Great! I think I tried to put the fragment inside
urlencode:
, which didn't work. – Jberkel 19:50, 19 October 2022 (UTC)
