Letters[edit]

@Sgconlaw: Hey, pinging you as the creator of the template; I intended to use it on the page post-road. The problem that I encountered is that the passage that has the spelling isn't present in any of the chapters, but rather in the first of the four letters that precede the novel proper. @Hythonia: the pages are numbered, so you can just specify the relevant page number using the |page= parameter. I suggest specifying the chapter name like this: |chapter=Letter I. To Mrs. Saville, England.. — Sgconlaw (talk) 16:42, 19 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Silent errors[edit]

@Sgconlaw Hiya - your recent change seems to have caused silent errors on pages like temper. It's being categorised in CAT:E, but I'm not sure why. However, if I view the page with the old version of the template, that doesn't happen. Theknightwho (talk) 19:06, 19 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Theknightwho: think I've fixed it. Seems to have been a combination of two things: there was a bracketing error in the template, and some uses of the template incorrectly specified the volume number in Arabic numerals. — Sgconlaw (talk) 19:58, 19 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Automatic generation of chapter numbers[edit]

@J3133: your edits to provide for the automatic generation of chapter numbers doesn't seem to work for the 3rd edition where |pages= and |pageref= are used—see the last example on the documentation page.
