@Thadh This is a strange template ... why is it needed? What does "cans" mean? In general you shouldn't be disabling translit like this in the headword; just use {{head}} directly. Benwing2 (talk) 07:01, 4 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

@Benwing: "cans" stands for "Canadian syllabics" (the script name is Cans). Since we lemmatise Plains Cree on the Latin orthography, we don't want the transliteration, since the definition will be "Canadian Syllabics spelling of...". Thadh (talk) 10:07, 4 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
