I'm sorry I wasn't so clear on that when I deleted it. It's just... there are so many people who come here and sometimes they make a real mess of things and it gets a bit tiring to explain things. If you are familiar with Wikipedia though, WT:WFW might help you. It discusses some of the differences in the way we provide citations and why we don't allow other dictionaries as references. As a general rule, citations here are quotations 'from the wild', so if you want to cite Scottish Gaelic words you can look for books or other durably archived sources written in Scottish Gaelic in which the term occurs.
