This template is used to create verb inflection (i.e. conjugation) tables for Hebrew verbs. It uses Module:he-verb as its backend. Should be placed under a Conjugation or Inflection header.

Common parameters

The abbreviation for binyan or sub-binyan of the verb. They can an be any of the following:
  1. pa for pa'al
  2. pi for pi'el
    • po for po'el or polel
  3. pu for pu'al
    • poal for po'al or polal
  4. hif for hif'il
  5. huf for huf'al
  6. nif for nif'al
  7. hit for hitpa'el
    • hitpo for hitpo'el or hitpolel
  8. hitpu for hitpu'al (a rare modern coinage)
|2= and rarely |3=, |4=
The root of the verb, distinguishing shins and sins, almost always without any separators. Use a rafe ⟨◌ֿ⟩ to force a rafe charcater (e.g. in פיספס / פִסְפֵס (fisfés)), dagesh on final letter to keep it unchanged (example?), the usage of :...
|inf=
An override for the to-infinitive, - to disable. Use a \ to separate the defective and excessive forms when both exist (e.g. |inf=ליהנות \ לֵהָנוֹת).
|noun=
An override for the action noun, - to disable. \ thing doesn't work here
|pp=
An override for the passive participle, - to disable.

Morphology? overrides

|assim=
Forcibly disable with - or forcibly enable with + the assimilation of certain consonants, e.g. it's enabled for הִנְגִּיד (hangíd) so it won't be turned into הִגִּיד (higíd). The module usally guesses correctly so this is rarely needed.
|elide=
Forcibly disable with - or forcibly enable with + elision, e.g. in אָהַב (aháv) or נָפַל (nafál). Again this is rarely needed, though a bit more common than |assim=.
|hollow=
?, - to disable and + to enable.
|geminate=
?, - to disable and + to enable.
|nochataf=
?, - to disable and + to enable.
|past_char=

The are many different parameters to override specific forms. The imperative and present tense forms are in/of the form |<tense>_<gender>= (see the accepted abbreviations below) and the past and future tense forms are in/of the form |<tense>_<person><gender>=. So for example the future second-person masculine plural override parameter is |fut_2mp= and the imperative feminine singular is |imp_fs=.

  • Tense abbreviations:
  • imp for imperative
  • fut for future (a.k.a. imperfect or prefix conjugation)
  • pres for present (a.k.a. active participle)
  • past for past (a.k.a. perfect or suffix conjugation)
  • Gender abbreviations:
  • s for singular *first person only
  • p for plural *first person only
  • ms for masculine singular
  • fs for feminine singular
  • mp for masculine plural
  • fp for feminine plural
  • Person abbreviations:
  • 1 for first person
  • 2 for second person
  • 3 for third person
