I am Reidca (not my real name, but parts of it). I live in Maryland, work in Washington, D.C. I thought I'd fill this out so at least others can see more than a blank screen.

My interest in language goes back to when I was under the age of ten. It's more than a hobby, less than a passion, but something I wish I had more time for.

A list of my specific language interests:

• Comparative linguistics of all shades (phonology, morphology, syntax), with a deep interest in Romance linguistics
• Language history, namely how a modern language got that way
