‘Hit’ is an irregular verb that doesn’t change form with the tense. Which means whether your speaking about the present, or the past or the future, it will remain ‘hit’.

I was not abusing English. Hitted is gramatically incorrect. Remove it! This is teaching kids false English grammar.

That's why it says non-standard. Replacing a dictionary entry with commentary is vandalism. That's what the talk page is for, or you could have used the WT:RFV process. Equinox 19:35, 4 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
