Kazakh Latin entries[edit]

Hello. You can't blindly create entries from transliterations. What did you do to check if it's accurate? There is a flaw in the Kazakh transliteration module, as you can see in Module talk:kk-translit

So, for Түркия (Türkiä), the Latin form is Türkia, not Türkiä that you have created, even if the module transliterates as "Türkiä".

@Vtgnoq7238rmqco, @Benwing2, @Theknightwho: FYI, the module probably can't be fixed or would require lists of exceptions or some other work. Thanks for User:Benwing2/kazakh-pages-ya, @Benwing2.

Somebody may pay attention to your other edits, @Adamnewwikipedianaccount. Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 01:35, 8 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

https://sozdik.kz/ru/dictionary/translate/ru/kk-Latn/Турция/ shows the correct Latin spelling. Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 01:37, 8 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Entries in random languages[edit]

Hi, please don't create entries or add translations in languages you don't know (per your Babel page). This just adds garbage to the site and makes the quality go down. Benwing2 (talk) 01:43, 8 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Ok then. I'll just say that I will go slower in making pages in general from now on Adamnewwikipedianaccount (talk) 01:46, 8 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
My plan is that I will spend most of my time on Wiktionary mainly make entries in languages listed in my Babel page, but for other languages, a little time (mostly place names and words similar to ones in the languages listed in my Babel page). Sounds good? Adamnewwikipedianaccount (talk) 11:48, 8 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Benwing2 see the message above and let me know if you approve of it Adamnewwikipedianaccount (talk) 13:00, 8 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, sounds good, thanks for responding. A lot of people don't respond to messages like this and keep up their bad edits (and end up blocked). Benwing2 (talk) 20:00, 8 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Okay. Adamnewwikipedianaccount (talk) 20:02, 8 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Adamnewwikipedianaccount Hi - seconding this. I note you're still mass-adding translations. Please don't. Theknightwho (talk) 23:42, 1 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Ok then. Adamnewwikipedianaccount (talk) 00:12, 3 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Adamnewwikipedianaccount To be clear: it's nothing personal, but when people mass-add languages there's a really high chance of there being mistakes. Theknightwho (talk) 00:25, 3 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Got it. I will add translations slower now Adamnewwikipedianaccount (talk) 18:51, 3 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Adamnewwikipedianaccount Same thing with entries in general. If you don't know the language well, be *VERY* careful creating new entries (or just don't do it). Benwing2 (talk) 19:08, 3 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
All understood. Adamnewwikipedianaccount (talk) 19:09, 3 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I'm very sorry. I promise not to do such mistakes again. I will not edit as much on this site. I tried to be careful when adding some more sections on that Cyrillic Gaza entry, but I just went too fast. I take full responsibility for such copious mistakes. I will take a break from editing on Wiktionary when I get unblocked. That's all

@Adamnewwikipedianaccount I've reduced the block to one month, given that you've only been blocked once before. Please take this as a lesson, though, because if you need to be blocked again then expect it to be longer. Theknightwho (talk) 16:16, 10 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Alright. I will be very, very, very slow and careful next time Adamnewwikipedianaccount (talk) 03:25, 11 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Adamnewwikipedianaccount I strongly advise you to stick to languages you speak. Theknightwho (talk) 03:52, 11 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
