Fine. We have no problem with that. Here is our standard welcome.
Welcome!
Hello, and welcome to Wiktionary. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:
- Wiktionary Tutorial
- Community Portal
- Entry layout explained
- Criteria for inclusion
- FAQ
- How to edit a page
- How to start a page
- Wiktionary Sandbox (a safe place for testing syntax)
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wiktionarian! By the way, you can sign your name on Talk (discussion) and vote pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~, which automatically produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the beer parlour or ask me on my Talk page. Again, welcome!
Hi, could you look at WT:ELE to see how a page should look. --Wonderfool 18:49, 9 January 2006 (UTC)
Formatting
[edit]PLEASE look at those welcome links - you MUST format your entries. See bifurcated or bedlam as examples. Also, your definitions are far too simple, ignoring many aspects - see connive as an example. It's a lot of work chasing after you. SemperBlotto 22:55, 9 January 2006 (UTC)
Copyright violations
[edit]All your latest entries have been deleted. They were word-for-word copyright violations from the American Heritage Dictionary. By the way - the format was still wrong. And we don't sign our entries. SemperBlotto 17:41, 11 January 2006 (UTC)
