Adding Esperanto words
[edit]- Please categorize the articles as you add them, by adding [[Category:Esperanto language]] to the bottom of the article. This will automatically index the words at Category:Esperanto language. I've categorized a few of your articles already, to start you off. Please go back over your earlier additions and categorize them as well. Uncle G 15:49, 27 Feb 2005 (UTC)
- Thanks, I'll get started with that. By the way, my word list is from the public-domain Universala Vortaro. Cam 16:01, 27 Feb 2005 (UTC)
- I've made a {{Universala Vortaro}} template. Put it at the bottom of all such articles. It will note the copyright status. Uncle G 16:32, 27 Feb 2005 (UTC)
- Thanks, although the word choice is from the UV the definitions aren't necessarily from there. Some I am writing myself (if these stubs can be called writing :-D) since the UV translations are out of date. So it's not a Webster 1913 situation exactly. I was concerned that word lists themselves might be copyrightable and that someone might be concerned that I was pulling a word list out of something copyrighted, so I noted the public domain status of my source list. - Categories are not updated immediately, by the way. There is a slight lag. Don't be alarmed by it. Uncle G 16:32, 27 Feb 2005 (UTC)

- Keep up the good work. Is the word list from Universala Vortaro available electronically anywhere? Or are you working from the printed book? Uncle G 09:11, 30 Mar 2005 (UTC)
Your account will be renamed
[edit]Hello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Cam. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Cam~enwiktionary that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell
