Though it is not a matter of policy, it is our practice to avoid putting too much above the first Language header (most often English) in an entry. Normally only {{also}}, which provides links to orthographically similar entries, goes there. I personally like to put {{slim-wikipedia}} to WP disambiguation pages because we don't have much coverage of Proper nouns (usually WP does a good job on them, except for translations). No one seems to object to that.

I usually put links to WP, Commons, Species under a "See also" header at the bottom of the English language section. I also use in-line links to some WP articles on authors, books, folks after whom things are named, etc. Thanks for contributing. Don't hesitate to ask about anything odd-seeming about Wiktionary.
