Hi, Hyark!

I noticed that you have made a trial template for Finnish nominal (covers nouns, adjectives, pronouns and numerals) declension type 1. I thought that you might be interested in checking Template:Fi01a. I think I have solved the problem of consonant gradation in a rather elegant way. The format consists of five elements:

non-changing part of stem | variable consonant, if any | end vowel | choice of -a or -ä for certain cases | alternative for the variable consonant

For the word "hattu" the template would look like this: Fi01a|hat|t|u|a| , "lento" becomes Fi01a|len|t|o|a|n , and "lelu" becomes Fi01a|lel||u|a|.

I have recently become aware that the template name "Fi01a" is non-standard, but I'm working on that Hekaheka 09:50, 21 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
