Including a Korean word in Wiktionary.

[edit]

Is this Korean word OK for inclusion in Wiktionary: 얇은? I found from a article on Wikipedia, this: [1]]. If yes, thank my edit! Many good wishes. Mihai Popa 😃📃 Talk to me! 💬My contributions! 🕔🕖13:47, 11 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Also created the antonym word '두꺼운'. Thank you so much for your request! YeBoy371 (talk) 14:04, 11 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
Also, this word: 않았다, it's OK or not for inclusion in Wiktionary? Mihai Popa 😃📃 Talk to me! 💬My contributions! 🕔🕖14:15, 11 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
I found from [2]. So much for adding. If this is OK, thank my edit. Best wishes! Mihai Popa 😃📃 Talk to me! 💬My contributions! 🕔🕖15:20, 11 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
Although determiner such as '얇은' or '작은' are frequently produced, this is not the case with this word. YeBoy371 (talk) 15:05, 11 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
Hmm... grammar error, it's "this word" or "these words" not "these word". Fix it damn!! Mihai Popa 😃📃 Talk to me! 💬My contributions! 🕔🕖15:07, 11 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Then the translated part comes, by ChatGPT!

위키낱말사전에 한국어 단어 포함하기

[edit]

문법 오류입니다, "this word"나 "these words"가 맞고 "these word"는 아닙니다. 수정해 주세요!! Mihai Popa 😃📃 제게 이야기해 주세요! 💬내 기여들! 🕔🕖』 15:07, 2024년 6월 11일 (UTC)

Types of category

[edit]

Hi - thanks for adding categories to entries, as it's generally great. However, please be careful about the difference between "related to" categories (e.g. Category:en:Sleep: terms relating to sleep), and set categories (e.g. Category:en:Pigs: types of pig). You can't put pork in the second one, as it's not a type of pig. Could you please go through all the entries for meat that you've just edited and remove the animal category? Thanks. Theknightwho (talk) 15:22, 21 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Also, if you're unsure, the category description says which type of category it is. Theknightwho (talk) 15:23, 21 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
This task has been completed. YeBoy371 (talk) 16:38, 21 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
@YeBoy371 Thanks for the quick and thorough response. Much appreciated. Theknightwho (talk) 21:42, 21 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Language codes

[edit]

I just cleaned up two Japanese entries that you had in Category:Indonesian terms borrowed from English. In etymology templates, the first language code is the language of the entry- in this case "ja" for Japanese, not "id" for Indonesian- and the second language code is the source language. See WT:LOL for the list of Wiktionary language codes. Chuck Entz (talk) 00:55, 19 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

Mass adding translations via Wikipedia

[edit]

Do not do this. 1) Wikipedia is filled with protologisms that don't always meet our WT:CFI. 2) You do not speak all those languages or understand the grammar. For example, you added the plural forms of Polish and Russian when you should have added the singular, and you didn't even check the grammar if that's the correct form. If you continue this, I will have to increase the punishment, as this is a bannable offense. Please consider this a good-faith warning. Vininn126 (talk) 12:06, 28 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
