Proto-Hmong-Mien (PHM), also called Proto-Miao-Yao (PMY), is the reconstructed form for the Hmong-Mien languages.

Wiktionary chiefly follows the reconstructions of Martha Ratliff's Hmong-Mien language history (2010, Pacific Linguistics).

Alternative constructions include Chen Qiguang's (2013) reconstruction of Proto-Miao-Yao.
