Samoan has five vowels and thirteen consonants:

Long vowels are signified by a macron: ā, ē, ī, ō, ū.
Some texts may use long vowels without a macron. These spellings are not represented in Wiktionary, since they are predictable.
It is important to note that the glottal stop should be given using a MODIFIER LETTER TURNED COMMA (U+02BB), not a regular apostrophe.
