Alternative spellings should not have translations[edit]

Vahagn Petrosyan (talk • contribs) mentioned this. Obviously that would be a separate vote, but not needed IMO. That's what {{trans-see}} is for. Seems perfectly reasonable to want to have all the translations in a single translation table, rather than split randomly over several. Mglovesfun (talk) 13:56, 8 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

That's to some extent a separate issue - which is an alternative spelling of which? When it comes to entries using {{alternative spelling of|foo}} I don't think there's an issue - but when neither spelling is considered secondary, the issue you bring up is there.
