From Avestan 𐬫𐬀𐬯𐬥𐬀 (Yasna, oblation; worship), compound of 𐬫𐬀𐬰 (yaz) (from Proto-Indo-European *iag- (to worship))[1] and 𐬥𐬀 (na).
